Teach your students how much Jesus loves them! The full lesson is linked HERE. This lesson comes from Mark 10:13-16.
This lesson includes a lesson plan, lesson, puppet play, scavenger hunt, and coloring pages!

When I taught this lesson, I taught it to kindergarten and first grade students. To keep them engaged, I taught the lesson through a puppet play! This is totally optional because I have also included a regular lesson to share with the students.

Why bugs?! Take a look at what is written on the Scavenger Hung sheet:
God is so CREATIVE! He made absolutely everything, from the smallest creature to the highest mountain. Do you know God’s favorite thing He made? You! God made us in His Image, and He loves His children SO much! Jesus told His disciples to let the children come to Him! He hugged them, blessed them, and told the adults that they should accept the Kingdom of God just as the children had. He wanted the adults to be more like the kids: loving Jesus, accepting the truth with their whole hearts, and living with the joy that comes from trusting God and loving Him fully.
When we see all the AMAZING details in the tiny things God made —like bugs and butterflies —we can praise Him! God created EVERYTHING there is, great and small. God sees you, He loves you, and you are important to God! If God created the tiniest of animals with such love and care, then imagine how much He loves and cares about you, His precious child!
To make it more exciting, we gave students magnifying glasses to find the insects! The magnifying glasses are linked HERE. You have a few choices for the hunt; you can choose the insects I have included (black and white and color versions), or you can use mini insects from Amazon. I personally chose to use ladybug (linked HERE), glow in the dark caterpillar (linked HERE), and butterflies (linked HERE).

This lesson will teach students how much Jesus loves them from Mark 10:13-16!
